Ooooo, I feel so lucky! Once a year, a conglomerate of educators/librarians/museum folks/other kid-oriented peeps get a bunch of fabulous authors together for a one day conference entitled the Fall Festival of Children’s Literature. Because it’s usually on a Friday, sometimes I’m not able to go due to childcare/schedule conflicts. But this year the planets aligned, and I’ll be snug in my seat early next morning to hear from the likes of Brian Pinkney, Katherine Ayres, and Sharon Flake. Woot!
